Hot Spot: Paramount Hotel - Time Square New York

The old Hollywood glam style building in the heart of Time Square is just the shell of what was to come. Opening the massive glass and metal framed door into the foyer. Standing in the foyer staring straight into the wide open lobby full of blazing music and low lighting. For a moment I wasn't sure if I stepped into a lounge or hotel.

Walking to the right the entire right side was made of 3 different counters for assistance. Walking over to check-in I was greeted and went through a completely smooth, pain free check-in process. Walking to the elevator on the opposite side of the room through the lobby filled with colorful chairs and people in a NYC lounge setting. Three different elevators and take your pick... Or whichever comes first :)

Up to the 12th floor I go, room 1224.

Stepping out of the elevator there's an AMAZING about 20 foot mirror that has light up weather forecasting. The lounge theme carried all the way through the stripped, dimly light hallways.

Entering the room I was honestly... Shocked on a positive and negative note. I was shocked at how well put together and modern the room was. I was also shocked how small the room was. But other than the size of the room I can't really complain about anything else but the fact that you have to pay about 14 bucks for 24 hour wi-fi access.

Comfortable bed, closet space, great modern bathroom and of course lots of channels on the posted flat screen TV.

Checkout time is 12PM.  But the staff was very willing to let you check out later as long as they have the availability. With that being said I checked out around 1:30 which was as easy as giving my room number and saying have a good day :)

I can honestly say that I would stay here again. Not only for the location but for  the service. I had a great experience overall.

FASHION: Michael Kors Is Now Part Of The Billionaire Club

ITS OFFICIAL!

Michael Kors is officially killing it. Revenue rose 59 percent in the third quarter, which ended Dec. 28, coming out to a total of $1 billion. That compares to $636.8 million in revenue for the same quarter the year prior.

According to Forbes, this has made Kors himself a billionaire (he is the third shareholder to reach that personal benchmark, thanks to Michael Kors Holdings). Stocks jumped nearly 20 percent after the company's earnings call Tuesday morning.

In North America, revenue increased 51 percent, largely due to accessories and watch offerings, while Europe saw growth of 144 percent for the quarter. The brand attributes that to grow brand awareness.

Sidebar: I have to say that I'm noticing Michael Kors is taking a step in the Coach lane. I hate to sound saddity or snobbish, but the "exclusivity" of the Michael Kors brand has ended. There is not really a place you can go now-a-days without seeing 5 out of 10 people sporting a metallic Michael Kors Jetset Tote or the ever so popular Michael Kors Runway watch in a variety of metals. Not to mention most of his bag designs are slight replicas of other designer bags. Where will he go from here?

RADIO SHOW: A Day In The Life: We Are Back

6:30PM Monday [TONIGHT]
Listen and/or Call-In!
Call in number is: 347.996.5710

As some of you may know, Angeline and myself started this radio show four years ago with no honest intent, but to vent and have something to do with our Monday nights. But low and behold we fell in love with it and did it for about three years. We have taken time off for about a year to get ourselves together and better for our future.
Now we are back, busier and better than ever. We have been trying really hard to both sit down and get back into the swing of our radio show, we feel like there is no better time than now.
This episode is going to be an introduction into our lives currently for those that have heard before and those that have never. All are welcome to partake in the greatness that is about to occur. :)

About # birthdaygives

Starting with an offline gesture of giving to the online gesture of sharing, #birthdaygives is a social movement that celebrates birthdays (and every day) as an occasion to give rather than receive. #birthdaygives harnesses the power of human connection, through both strangers and established relationships, to promote positivity as a shared experience compounding exponentially as kindness spreads from person to person. Digital documentation through social media engagement solidifies these previously abstract, ephemeral phenomena into an enduring positive moment. Revealed through social media, Carrie and her friends found out how far their roses traveled and how far the kindness spread. On Facebook, a rose’s note ended up taped on a fridge in Israel.

Through Instagram, one recipient commented, “A gift from a stranger at the Met yesterday...which became my gift to a stranger. Thank you for the beautiful reminder.” Another rose became a Met security guard's last day surprise and said via Instagram, “Thank you, stranger, for indirectly giving me a flower on my last day.” How will you spread kindness as the gift that keeps on giving?

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” Aesop Founded on the idea that “kindness is contagious,” #birthdaygives started as a grassroots effort two years ago. In lieu of gifts and a typical birthday celebration, founder Carrie Hammer mobilized a few friends in New York City to hand out 270 roses with notes tied on explaining to

the recipient to either pass on the rose or pass on an act of kindness. One of the notes made it to a women's fridge in ISRAEL from a note on the highline: http://tweetpic.me/2Qi
